Money 3 (Business Mad Lib)

The Parable of the Bags of Gold

14 “Again, it will be like a business man going on a journey, who called his employees and entrusted his corporation to them. 15 To one he gave $5,000, to another $2,000, and to another  $1,000,[a] each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. 16 The man who had received $5,000 went at once and put his money to work and gained  $5,000 more. 17 So also, the one with $2,000 gained $2,000 more. 18 But the man who had received one $1,000 bag went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money.
19 “After a long time the business man of those employees returned and settled accounts with them. 20 The man who had received $5,000 of gold brought the other five. ‘Sir,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with $5,000. See, I have gained five more.’
21 “His boss replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your boss’s happiness!’
22 “The man with $2,000 also came. ‘Sir,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with $2,000; see, I have gained two more.’
23 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your boss’s happiness!’
24 “Then the man who had received $1,000 came. ‘Sir,’ he said, "I know you get products from places that I'm not familiar withI know you have money and I don't have enough, so I'm not doing anything extra for you and I'm not going to risk losing your money because I don't get paid enough to pay you back if I lost it. 25 So I was afraid and went out and hid your $1,000 in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’
26 “His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy employee! So you knew that I get products from places that you are not familiar with? 27 Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers (I'm sorry, with these type of returns you can and will not get this from a bank;-), so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.
28 “‘So take the $1,000 from him and give it to the one who has $10,000. 29 For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. This employee is fired and will not make money with my company again.

Money continued

I will be bold enough to say that Matt 25:14-30 deals with money and how God wants to give you more. Watch this:

The Parable of the Bags of Gold

14 “Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. (Our God, we as his servants have all the wealth entrusted to us which are spiritual and natural gifts that includes money) 15 To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag,[a] each according to his ability. (He already knows your ability, if you won $1Million how would it be used? Each of us would use it very differently) Then he went on his journey. 16 The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more. (So obviously this guy is smart and made a wise decision because he went and invested it and got a return)17 So also, the one with two bags of gold gained two more. (So obviously this guy is smart and made a wise decision as well, because he went and invested it and got a return.)18 But the man who had received one bag went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money. (Ha Ha Ha! This guy made the decision to hide the masters money why?)
19 “After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. 20 The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’
21 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
22 “The man with two bags of gold also came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with two bags of gold; see, I have gained two more.’
23 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ (These guys made a wise decision and now they can party with the master and they will be able to reap more benefits)
24 “Then the man who had received one bag of gold came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25 So I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’ (So, out of fear this guy didn't do anything with what he was entrusted. Fear of losing it all and making an excuse and not taking responsibility for what he was given)
26 “His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? 27 Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest. (That money was meant to work for the Master, the servant knew he was getting crop from places he didn't plant seed.)
28 “‘So take the bag of gold from him and give it to the one who has ten bags. 29 For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. 30 And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
(I believe the servant had a mindset of poverty and fear.  You cant have money without the understanding that money is supposed to work for the master!  God is our master through Christ Jesus and when we are blessed with an abundance of money we are supposed to be a blessing to others. People in fear can not be a blessing to anyone because they are in fear.)

Money

Money was never intended to be worked for by you (at least not for a long time), it was intended to work for you. Just look at Matt 25:14-30 I will elaborate on this a little later!

Work! What do you mean work?

What to say to church folk who are not working or making money on purpose:
Gen 3:19 says "By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return."  Keyword: Sweat also known as perspiration which is formed due to the body releasing water as a self cooling mechanism. This usually happens as a result of working, making an effort, or taking action to achieve the desired result of making money to buy food, clothing, and shelter etc. You are supposed to work. Even Jesus worked. Jesus wasn't lazy! Jesus was a go getter! He was putting in work in sandals and had 12 followers with him and today he has millions of followers because he worked what God had already laid out for him to do. There is no way around work. You must work. You must take action. You must give effort. Sometimes work is painful. Oftentimes your grateful.

Yes! God is able to do anything and everything however, how are you going to get results without working when he said it was mandatory in the very first book of the  Bible. I guess he has already laid it out for us and that we have to trust him with every step we take and with every drop of sweat we can because we do it so he can get the glory.  That's it! We have to give him glory because we fell from glory in the beginning right? Psalm 34:2 "I will glory in the Lord, let the afflicted (those in pain or grief) hear and rejoice!" Hah! So, while I am giving God the glory with an attitude of gratitude and enthusiasm I will attract people and they want to know what type of drug I'm on.

I already work, so what! That may not be enough! Goals have to be accomplished. Maybe that's the problem. No Goals, No Action. Jesus had a goal to save humanity. You can see those results even to this day. Did Jesus save your world? He most certainly can. Setting a goal that you believe in and taking action to get results.
